7 Must-See Events & Experiences in Dubrovnik This Fall (2025 Guide)

Discover the best things to do in Dubrovnik this autumn – from festivals and concerts to warm beaches and fewer crowds in September & October.

With autumn approaching and the summer season winding down, now is the time to relax and make the most of your visit to Dubrovnik.

Why Autumn Is the Best Season to Experience Dubrovnik

Summer is the busiest season in Dubrovnik when temperatures are at their peak and the city is brimming with visitors. Although coming in the summer is the most popular option, you should think about it. With autumn approaching and the summer season winding down, now is the time to relax and make the most of your visit to Dubrovnik. Although the city is charming all year, summer is incredibly popular, making it difficult to explore and appreciate thoroughly.

The greatest time to visit Dubrovnik and meet its citizens is during the off-season, such as spring or autumn when you will encounter residents on your way to explore and have the opportunity to speak with them. Not to add that you can easily wander around the main street Stradun, tour the Old Town, or discover other Dubrovnik neighborhoods. Another reason to pick September or October is the weather: temperatures will be much more comfortable than in July or August, with lots of sun and the water still warm enough to swim, ideal if you want to get your dose of sunshine and vitamin sea.

When it comes to culture and entertainment, you'll also have plenty to do.

Culinary Delights at the Dubrovnik Good Food Festival
